The group focuses on China's atmospheric environment under the big challenges of improving air quality for the country. In particular, our main research interest is to quantify the emissions of major air pollutants at different scales, to evaluate the uncertainty and reliability of emission inventory with various instrumental/modeling measures, and to assess the typical effects of emission control commitments.
The team has close collaboration with School of Environment, Tsinghua University, and China Project, Harvard University. We presently also have active collaborations with other institutes including Emory University, Texas A&M University, and University of Eastern Finland. Undergraduate or prospective graduate students with passion on air pollution studies are welcome to join for scientific training and research. Assistant researcher and postdoctoral positions are available and applicants are welcome to contact Prof. Yu Zhao at yuzhao@nju.edu.cn.
